You Are Anointed for Service

But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge.
1 John 2:20 ESV

Do you ever become tired or discouraged as you labor in Christian service, doing the work that Jesus began? By regularly asking for a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit, you will receive refreshing to carry out the work He has called you to do. It’s true, believers have been given a big assignment, but God has provided you with everything you need to be successful. You are empowered by the Holy Spirit to be a witness of the saving, healing and delivering power of Jesus Christ.

God’s Glory is coming to the earth. He is looking for vessels to manifest His glory, and He wants to use you right where you are. In fact, God determined the times and places in which each of us live (Acts 17:26 ). He has positioned you in a particular time and place to be a conduit of His anointing. Just like my uncle Leo.

He was a very successful businessman and a great leader. While at his office, he continually witnessed to people, telling them about God and His ability to transform their lives. He prayed with them to receive Jesus Christ as Savior, and to be filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. He related to other business people right where God had placed him – the business arena.

God uses plumbers, medical professionals, construction workers or teachers the same way. These men and women are on common ground, and they can easily communicate with one another. Where you live and work and play is your mission field. God has anointed your presence in those places to serve those around you.

Anointing can be for various purposes, and includes either contributing to or being directly responsible for reaching individuals, as well as entire offices, communities, cities and nations for His Kingdom.

Recognize the purpose for which God has anointed you, and fully develop your potential around that purpose, while at the same time encouraging others to do the same. Be all you can be, and then help somebody else to do the same. God will pour living water through you to others who desperately need it!

Make a choice today to share your faith on the job, in the neighborhood, where you shop, and any place God directs. You have been saved for God’s purposes and plans.

You are anointed.

Will you choose to believe that you are a vessel, sanctified and empowered through whom God’s living water can be poured out to others?  Now, that’s the choice-driven life!

The Most Important Choice You Can Make:

Prayer for Salvation:

God in Heaven, I come to You in the name of Your Son, Jesus. I confess that I haven’t lived my life for You. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that He died on the cross and rose again from the dead so I might have a better life now and eternal life in heaven. Jesus, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. From this day forward, I’ll live my life for You to the best of my ability. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.

  1. Andrea Robinson says

Love the idea that I am anointed in what I am doing. That makes me think that whatever I do is important to God and especially the way I do it; when I realize that the anointing ts on my life, things will be so much easier!

  2. Wow! It’s not very often that you hear this message,Olga… or at least, not enough!

I had no idea Billy Graham said that about worship and praise, the highest form being practical service – this really, truly hits home to my heart…. so right on it leaves me speechless!
