See The Blessing of The Lord Upon Your Family

“Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.”
Matthew 7:24-25

To me, a family is an entity where safety and security are of highest priority. So it breaks my heart to see families, in which it seems that devil has his foot in the door, tormenting them day after day.

The lives of an entire family can be destroyed because they lack knowledge, don’t apply what they do know, or simply can no longer see the truth because they are blinded by strife in the home. Much heartache and trouble come into the home, the family suffers in every area, and there is trouble for the entire household.

Proverbs 15:6 says: “In the house of the [uncompromisingly] righteous is great [priceless] treasure, but with the income of the wicked is trouble and vexation.”

You can clearly see the great contrast between the lives of the righteous who choose to forsake sin and the wicked who embrace it.

It is crucial for parents to stand in their God-given authority to stop the devil in his tracks and stop sin from coming into their home. If they don’t, there is a void in authority and spiritual laws are set in motion.

It is huge blessing in itself to know about spiritual laws. Most people don’t know that God has instituted spiritual laws that produce either blessing or cursing in our lives.

Some people believe that when bad things are happening to their families, that God is punishing them. But God is not the instigator of the turmoil, strife, anger and vexation in the house. He isn’t sitting on His throne waiting for your family to do something wrong so he can punish them with painful consequences. No, God is pure love; He loves us no matter what we do.

It is by our own actions and choices that we are responsible for setting these spiritual laws into motion (Proverbs 1:31). We can also set spiritual laws into motion that bring good and blessing into our families. The Bible speaks of how we reap abundant life when we do so: “The path of the wise leads upward to life, that he may avoid [the gloom] in the depths of Sheol (Hades)” (Proverbs 15:24 AMP).

When we walk in wisdom, we cooperate with spiritual laws to make our home relationships prosperous. We cause these spiritual laws to work to our advantage and that determines our favorable outcome.

Now that you know about spiritual laws, you can choose wisely. You can walk in God’s wisdom and avoid problems and trials in your personal life and in your entire household.

Will you choose to set into motion those spiritual laws that will strengthen your family? Now, that’s the choice-driven life!
