Fellowship with the Father and Son

Fellowship with the Father and Son

[For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], …
Philip. 3:10 Ampl.

Fellowship with the Creator of the universe and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, is the greatest privilege of being saved.

The New Testament greek word translated as fellowship (koininia), comes from a root word which means common, as in having so much in common with another that you are part of the same community. You could say that, as Believers, we have something in common with the Father, and that we are part of God’s community.

But, wait a minute. What in the world do you or I have in common with a Holy God? We are in no condition to approach Him. By what miracle are we even able to come into His presence? We are able to fellowship with the Father only because Jesus suffered in our place for our sins. He was the sacrifice for the sins of all mankind (1 John. 2:2). There is no sin that the blood of Jesus does not cover.

Fellowship with the Father and Son blesses and accelerates our growth as we become conformed to His will. In His presence, there is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11). Our faith is strengthened. Revelation knowledge (God speaking directly to you spirit) flows out of intimate communion with Him. A walk of increasing victory comes from being in His presence.

Fellowship with the Father and Jesus is the first priority in the Believer’s life. Jesus himself says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matt. 6:33).

Many people seek success first, factoring God into their plans only as a way to get what they want. They don’t realize that by seeking the things of God, they will also experience blessing, including prosperity.

The Father desires us to come into His presence to fellowship. Because of Jesus’ atoning sacrifice, we can come boldly before the throne of God to fellowship with our Father. (Heb. 4:16.)

We approach God by reading and meditating on His Word of God and through prayer – simply talking to God and listening to His response.

Because God and Jesus made it possible, for us to come into His presence with confidence, we need to make sure we approach Believers, not beggars. Boldly does not mean belligerently. Boldly means that we can be assured that He welcomes us into His presence. BE respectful and recognize your need for grace. Believe that He delights in your prayers and is ready to answer any request that is accordance with His will.

Will you make a choice to fellowship with the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. Through the blood of Jesus, you can go boldly to the throne of God to fellowship with Him and seek His face? Now, that’s the choice-driven life!

The Most Important Choice You Can Make:

Prayer for Salvation:

God in Heaven, I come to You in the name of Your Son, Jesus. I confess that I haven’t lived my life for You. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that He died on the cross and rose again from the dead so I might have a better life now and eternal life in heaven. Jesus, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. From this day forward, I’ll live my life for You to the best of my ability. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.
