35 What do you do when the pressure is on?

What do you do when the pressure is on?

“Let patience have her perfect work”
James 1:4

Have you ever stood on a promise in faith? You prayed for it and you believed that you received the answer. You declared the Word and believed that the angels were going to get the answer into your hands. That is what you learned and that is what you are doing.

But then after a while the answer doesn’t come. You begin thinking how tired and fed up you are with waiting for a change. You start to grow weary and exhausted, thinking you can’t go on, continuing to believe. What use is it to press on when your faith seems to be fading?

You are about to say those words that cost more believers their victory than anything else in the world: I quit!

Have you been there? I have certainly been there and done that. I think everybody who is learning to walk by faith has gone through times like that. Those are tough times, times that stretch you in every direction.

The devil may be coming at you from every angle and trying to wrench your faith from your heart. I am here to tell you, DON’T QUIT. You are not the only Believer who has walked this path; this is a time for growth and maturity in faith.

Allow me to introduce you to a force that is so powerful, it can carry you through such trying times. No situation is too big for this force; it will carry you through hard times right into victory. The devil cannot stop it, people cannot stop it.

The answer to your problem is the force and the power of patience. Patience is mighty and cannot be defeated. It comes straight from the heart and character of God Himself.

Patience is the force that keeps you from fainting under pressure. It is the quality that does not surrender to circumstances or succumb under trial.

You can practice patience in everyday situations. All those small victories will make you stronger and stronger. It’s a fruit of the spirit and God equipped you with it the moment you were born again. He placed it into your re-created human spirit right along with the other fruit of the spirit (read Gal. 5:22-23).

The best part is that God didn’t give you human patience. He equipped you with His very own patience. The Amplified Bible says He is extraordinarily patient (2 Peter 3:9). God has what it takes to get through hard times.

You have to make a choice though; you have to turn it on so to speak! The water cannot flow if you don’t open the faucet.

Will you choose to make the choice today to open that faucet and release the patience that is on the inside of you, ready to flow out?           Now, that’s the choice-driven life!

The Most Important Choice You Can Make:

Prayer for Salvation:

God in Heaven, I come to You in the name of Your Son, Jesus. I confess that I haven’t lived my life for You. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that He died on the cross and rose again from the dead so I might have a better life now and eternal life in heaven. Jesus, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. From this day forward, I’ll live my life for You to the best of my ability. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.
