Just Let God Do It

And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only,
and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God,
which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them.
Deuteronomy 28:13

This is a verse that has always spoken to me of the privilege it is to be a son or daughter of God and has motivated me to hang on, no matter what. Although it is an Old Testament verse, it speaks of the Believer’s position of authority: We are seated in Jesus on God’s right hand in Heavenly places.

God will make you the head and not the tail. The word make, carries great significance in this verse. God is a good God and most of all He is a faithful God. He says, “No matter what, I am going to make it happen.” You don’t have to do it yourself. God will make you to be above and not beneath. You don’t need to strive to be above. It is a benefit of the covenant that He made with us. He wrote this covenant, not you and not I. He wrote it.

As you read further on to Deuteronomy 28:15, the Word says that if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, curses will come upon you and overtake you.

Curses manifest in three areas of life: poverty, sickness, and death. Poverty is most definitely a curse. It always has been, and it always will be. Sickness is a curse—always has been, and it always will be. Death (the meaning of this word is spiritual death) is a curse—always has been, and always will be. The curse is the result of disobedience to the Word of God.

When we are obedient, we open ourselves up to the blessings of God. We are enabled to walk in the fullness of the blessings of Abraham. When God gave the first blessing to Abraham, He said: I will make you rich. That doesn’t mean that we are all going to be millionaires. It means that we have access to full supply and can live in abundance in every area of our lives.

Next God told Abraham, that He was going to make him a blessing. We are the seed of Abraham. If we are diligent in obeying what God tells us to do (which means living by faith, just as Abraham did), we will see the end result: God will make us the head and not the tail. That means speaking what the Father speaks, and doing what the Father does.

As you fulfill your part of the Abrahamic covenant, you can watch God deliver on his part of the covenant. Allow Him to deliver you from the curse and make you what He created you to be—a blessing in this life.

Will you choose blessing and just let God do it? Now, that’s the choice-driven life!

The Most Important Choice You Can Make: Prayer for Salvation: God in Heaven, I come to You in the name of Your Son, Jesus. I confess that I haven’t lived my life for You. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that He died on the cross and rose again from the dead so I might have a better life now and eternal life in heaven. Jesus, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior.
From this day forward, I’ll live my life for You to the best of my ability. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen. Click Here if you need more information.
