Determine Your Destiny with The Words You Speak

Though you probe my heart and examine me at night,
though you test me, you will find nothing;

I have resolved that my mouth will not sin.
Psalm 17:3 (NIV)

If you are serious about your destiny, you will discipline your mouth and align what you say with what God says in His Word. There’s no way around it. And there’s no half way. Your words create your destiny; with your own words you can accelerate it, slow it down or even prevent it from coming to pass. Here are two questions to ask yourself: “What do I want?” and “What do I say?” Are you speaking forth what you desire?

Our own words are the determining factor of our destiny – not what other people say about us. If we are not fulfilling our destiny, we can’t blame anyone else. Jesus said, “For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned” (Matthew 12:37). Not by others’ words. But if you put others negative words in your mouth, then those words certainly can condemn you. Do you see that?

God wants us to come to the place that His Word is our proof and our evidence; it’s all we need to believe and say. The Word of God prevails over anything that is in the earth as we speak forth His words from our mouths..

God created us to exercise choice. He gifted us with free will. There is power in choice. God can’t and won’t make us do anything. And the devil certainly can’t force us into anything we don’t willingly agree to. For this reason, the responsibility for the direction of our lives is in our hands. We have to make the choice to speak out our God-given destiny. We have a choice and no one can choose for us.

Jesus had a lot to say about the words we speak: they reveal what’s in our hearts and in the end, our words are so important that we must give an account of every idle word we have spoken.

Let’s have a close look at Matthew 12:34-36: “O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure or deposit of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement.”

There is a day that we all have to stand before the judgement seat of Christ. This is the time when the manifestation of our words has reached its finale for our time here on earth. It is the time of harvest. What words are you sowing to bring forth a glorious harvest? Are there some areas in which you need to root out idle words? If so, don’t wait another day. Align your mouth with the wonderful plan God has for your life and pursue your destiny whole-heartedly!

Will you choose to speak forth God’s Word over every area of your life? Now, that’s the choice-driven life

The Most Important Choice You Can Make: Prayer for Salvation: God in Heaven, I come to You in the name of Your Son, Jesus. I confess that I haven’t lived my life for You. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that He died on the cross and rose again from the dead so I might have a better life now and eternal life in heaven. Jesus, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. From this day forward, I’ll live my life for You to the best of my ability. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen. Click Here if you need more information.
