All Things DO Work Together For Good

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God,
to those who are called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28 (NASB)

These words bring us comfort and peace in difficult situations, when our circumstances look bad. God never intends for us to fail. Instead, He takes our mistakes and works them out for good. He is the only one who can turn our messes into messages; our tests into testimonies.

That is who our God is; we can trust Him. We may fail at some things on our journey to success, but God is always there to lift us up to higher places. The verse before Romans 8:28 is about prayer. God tells us that when we don’t know how to pray as we ought, the Holy Spirit comes to our aid and prays through us.

Our church is a praying church. When we pray as a congregation we pray in one accord. “In one accord” means we pray by faith, in reliance on the help of the Holy Spirit, who always helps us pray.

It is through such Holy Spirit-filled prayers that all things work together for good, no matter what they are. Not everything that happens to us is good in and of itself; but God is good and He can cause bad things to work to our benefit.

When we go through dire circumstances, it is very important to put our trust in Him and Him alone. This is the key to victory. When we trust Him and when we pray, God can work in our lives. When we continue to trust Him, He continues to work everything out for the good.

Some terrible things happened to Joseph. His brothers sold him to slave traders and then lied to their father about his death. Joseph was betrayed by those whom he served and tried to help. But God was watching him all the time. You can be sure that God is watching you and me all the time.

God had a good plan for Joseph and God has good plan for you and me. Joseph said that although the things that happened to him were meant for harm, God intended them for good. It’s the same for us; Satan cannot defeat us if we keep believing that God is working for our good.

Will you choose to trust God and believe Him through your circumstances? Now, that’s the choice driven life!

The Most Important Choice You Can Make: Prayer for Salvation: God in Heaven, I come to You in the name of Your Son, Jesus. I confess that I haven’t lived my life for You. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that He died on the cross and rose again from the dead so I might have a better life now and eternal life in heaven. Jesus, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. From this day forward, I’ll live my life for You to the best of my ability. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen. Click Here if you need more information.

It is such a great comfort indeed that everything works out for the good if we give our situations to Him; he is so good and He loves us so much that He always causes us to triumph. I trust God because I know that He has a great plan for my life.

  2. What a reassuring post! It’s wonderful to know that even when I mess up, God can still turn it into something good!

  3. Olga…This is one of my favorite scriptures in the Bible…one I stand on frequently. Thank you for this post!

  4. Olga, these articles are always an inspiration and encouraging to me. I was just talking with my parents about this very verse yesterday. Thankfully, God is already showing me how He’s working through our tough health situations. He knows exactly what we need and can heal everyone immediately. Even as we trust Him in that, He’s using where we are, right now, for good for us and others around us. It may be hard, especially when we get focused on the circumstance. But I know God calls us to focus on Him and His “higher” ways and thoughts. If it weren’t for our situation, I wouldn’t be able to help and reach people like I do. Thank God for HIS plans!!
